The design is a “site adaptation” of Marshpoint Elementary School, with significant upgrades in materials including; the HVAC system, standing seam metal roofing, terrazzo flooring, and multi-colored wall coatings. The design team interviewed the staff of Marshpoint regarding all aspects of the design. This determined that a small number of design adjustments were required. As with Marshpoint, roof volumes provide exciting interior spaces. Graphics and lively accent colors were again incorporated, but were completely redesigned to provide the new school with its own identity.
