The Administration Headquarters and Care Facility provides comfortable, home–like conditions for hospice and respite care to the terminally ill. Hospice House takes advantage of a secluded yet central location southeast of the city. CMA designed a 24,300 s.f. addition that doubled the existing facility. Each of the two care areas contain a nurses’ station, a therapeutic spa room, family rooms and family kitchens. Central living and dining areas complete the home-like environment. The expanded facility includes spaces for in-house meetings and special events. Covered porches and patios accessible to each patient room, brings the outdoors with gardens and lagoons into patients’ daily life.
