The new facility houses various city-wide resident service functions. Designed to have two entrances serving both the city and residents of the ongoing Hope VI project with an inviting tree-lined entry plaza. The building required a large commercial kitchen for the Savannah Meals on Wheels program, providing 3,000 meals per day. The site design accommodates 18-wheel semi-truck deliveries as well as comfortable visitor parking. Originally the property housed a two story concrete masonry structure which was retained and revitalized to minimize cost to the city.
