The new Russell Library
& Information Technology Center at the Georgia College &
State University combines the previous Library, which consisted
of two buildings (1928 & 1965) comprising approximately 45,000
sf, with a new 100,000 sf addition. The existing building was
completely cleared of ME & P components, partition walls and
all finishes. The new three-story addition will join the existing
building on the eastern facade and extend southward to border
an existing campus plaza. Construction is on schedule to be completed
in winter of 2003. |
